What materials do I need to conduct my experiment and how do I set the experiment up?
Thank you

Re: how does different materials effect sound absorption?
Hi,
Here is a Science Buddies Project idea in your subject area, though it requires you to come up with your own experimental procedure:
https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science- ... ?from=Home
Some abstracts of projects on this topic:
http://www.usc.edu/CSSF/History/2004/Projects/J1103.pdf
http://www.usc.edu/CSSF/History/2004/Projects/J1143.pdf
Here is a paper describing a noise attenuation experiment done at a professional level:
http://www.usc.edu/CSSF/History/2004/Projects/J1143.pdf
If you want a carefully described experimental procedure from Science Buddies, I suspect you are out of luck. My sugestion is to read the Guide on How to do a Science Fair Project on this site, and then do your own original project. It may be harder, but you may learn more and have more fun. If you are pressed for time and just want to get a science fair project done ASAP, then browse the Science Fair Project Ideas guide for a fully described easier project.
Have fun with whatever you decide. Good Luck!

Re: how does different materials effect sound absorption?
Thank you very much. I will review the material your have given me. This is the project that I must do, so I will come up with my experiment and than I hope that I can get some guidance from you. Again Thank you
Wow! I just read the abstract material you provided and this is exactly what i was thinking about doing but was unsure of myself. It is great to know that I am
on the right track.
