does hand prefrence have other sub-consious effects?

Post by tylers740 »

I would like to find if right-handed vs. left-handed people have different basic sub-consious choices. I would find random people (aunts, uncles, parents, friends) and ask them to choose simple 2 option choice (left vs. right, up vs. down, square vs. circle, ect.) PLEASE!!! see if there is anything terrible about this. :D

Dear tylers740,

Thanks for contacting science buddies' ask an expert. I think that your project idea is very interesting. The only suggestion that I have is that you should analyze the choices that left handed and right handed people make. For example, a left handed people might choose to pick something up that is on the left side, while right handed people might choose to pick something up that is on the right side; you can use this to show that it is human instinct to take the easiest path to follow out an action. (This is just a made up example, but it might be true). There are many differences that people have theorized about right handed and left handed people and you can test out these hypotheses with your experiments.

here are some websites I found about the topic:

good luck,
