Desperately need answers

My son is doing a science project on which carpet cleanser cleans stains the best. He is suppose to test with a colorimeter and he doesn't have one. How can the results be tested? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Here are some ideas:

A Science Fair report on this topic:

In your shoes I think I would visit a local paint store. Many of them have a colorimeter used to match paint colors to customer color samples. Maybe they would be willing to help you by running your stain samples if you can arrange a time when the store is not busy.

This sounds like an interesting project with good practical applications. I hope it works out well for you.
Have fun!

Thanks barretttomlinson. The two references that you put in your comment were the two I discovered on the internt. But I didn't know about the paint shops having the meter.
