Hi,

I cannot vouch for the accuracy of this article, but it is relevant to your question:

http://query.nytimes.com/mem/archive-fr ... 94669ED7CF

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/18521844

These look like a very interesting resources for your question:

http://books.google.com/books?id=ljiucR ... q=&f=false

http://books.google.com/books?id=9xjOAA ... q=&f=false

http://www.springerlink.com/content/rg7592768774056x/

So there seems to be some old evidence that supports the idea that electric currents can increase the rate of germination, though I am suspicious of the age of the references I have found. Normally I would find many more recent citations. This sounds like an interesting question to pursue.

Good luck and have fun with it!!

Hi,

A few more resources relevant to your question:

http://www.international-agrophysics.or ... _3_195.pdf

http://scialert.net/qredirect.php?doi=p ... linkid=pdf

http://www.rexresearch.com/articles/elcultur.htm

http://query.nytimes.com/mem/archive-fr ... 946597D6CF

http://chestofbooks.com/crafts/scientif ... lture.html

http://lege.net/blog.lege.net/content/S ... mSound.pdf

This looks like an interesting field to investigate because, although there is some evidence that it works from work spanning several hundred years, it still does not look like it is well accepted in the western world. I don’t know what to believe.

Best regards,
