1.What is science according to you?
Science is the process by which we humans learn about our environment.

2. What inspired you to take science as a career?
I have always wanted to know how things work. I had the opportunity as an undergraduate in college to do some basic research, and I was instantly hooked.

3.What according to you is the basic science everyone should know?
I'm not sure what's meant by this question, but I think that everyone should know how science works and what scientists actually do (as opposed to what they do in movies). Beyond that, I think the most important thing students learn in science classes is to think critically about the world around them, not specifically what field of science they study.

4.What is the importance of science in our life?
Look around you. Nearly everything you see is a result of scientific discoveries. Many people are alive today because all of the medicine we have, all of the technology we have--all of that comes from scientists.

5.What differntiates science from other subjects?
Science is not just a collection of facts. Science is a process. Most subjects are 'fixed'--literature is already written, history has already happened, etc. We are constantly learning new, exciting things as scientists.

6.Is it true according to you that science is against faith, religion and god?
I don't think that this is the proper forum for me to give an answer to this question. I do not want my answer to affect the way people think of Science Buddies.

7.Why should we learn science?
Because critical thinking is absolutely crucial to human civilization and development. Moreover, science is important in everyday life, particularly as things like stem cells and cloning and global warming make the news--people need to be able to interpret the information they're given themselves.

8.What are the various careers ,a person who has the scientific curiosity should opt for?
I would suggest academia, but there are also plenty of research-related jobs in industry, and a very high number of scientists in consulting firms. Of course, you could also teach high-school or middle-school science classes, develop science fair material, and so forth.

9.How does science help in building up a strong cultural past?
I don't understand what you mean by a strong cultural past. I think that science has strongly affected culture and history in numerous ways--just think about what life was like before computers, and then remember that that was only ~30 years ago.

10.What are your ambitions in the near future?
I want to continue to perform and publish my scientific research, and I am currently looking for a faculty position at a university.

11.In the wake of the nations using science for enhancing their nuclear power "Is science a good slave but a disasterous enemy ?''
Nuclear power is a tool that is neither good nor evil. Many European countries, for example, use nuclear technology at power plants to provide comparatively environmentally-safe power. It is true, however, (and extremely unfortunate in any number of cases) that scientific discoveries have often given one nation or group of people an edge over another.

11.Is it true according to you that future human will carry oxygen cylinders for breathing?
...No. Why would we?

12.How can science help,in the present sceanario for the upliftment and for providing a better life to humans?
Science can help by identifying global crises--such as global warming--in advance, so that we can do something about it before the crisis hits. Science can also provide solutions to many problems--but of course, physics will always limit the possibilities.

13.What are your achievements in the field of science?
I have published seven peer-reviewed manuscripts in scientific journals, taught several courses at the university level, secured several grants and fellowships, including one totaling almost a quarter of a million dollars, and I have been a Science Buddies expert for almost four years now.

14.If you were allowed to be the US president for a day, what will you first do ?
Completely re-vamp the public education system in the United States.

15."A human the most dangerous animal on earth" what makes you agree or disagree to it?
It all depends on how you define dangerous, but I would generally agree that humans do much more damage to each other than any animal does to humans.
