I have two questions.
1 Have there ever been comparisons of boxwings to blended wing bodies in terms of efficiency, safety, and/or cost?
2 For anyone in the aerospace industry which one do you think is the most likely to be used widely in the future? Especially which do you think will be adopted for commercial airliners and cargo transports?
Thank you for your help

Re: Boxwing vs Blended Wing Bodies
Hi,
I neither am an expert in aerodynmaics nor military aircraft, but I have found the following sites which might shed light on your questions:
http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/ ... ft/gra.htm
http://www.nationaldefensemagazine.org/ ... n7109.aspx
See topic “Future Strategic Aircraft” newr bottom of this:
http://www.janes.com/defence/air_forces ... _1_n.shtml

http://www.flightglobal.com/pdfarchive/ ... 00326.html

AS for question #2, I am unqualified to have an opinion, but my impression is that the jury is still out, with different companies betting different ways. Form your own opinion.
Best wishes,
Barrett Tomlinson
