Hi,
For questions about how to do science fair projects it pays to exameine the Science Buddies Project guide, available on the blue tab at the top of the web pages. Here is the guidance on writing a hypothesis:

Good luck on the project!

Hi there,
Your hypothesis is your "guess" as to what the results might be. In this case, your hypothesis could be something like this:
I predict that the ____ fruit will have the most seeds, and that the _____ fruit will have the fewest seeds.
(You would fill in the blanks with the specific fruit according to your guess.)
or, if you wanted to get more specific, you could try and predict a specific number, such as:
I predict that the lemon will have ____ seeds, the kiwi will have ____ seeds, and the bell pepper will have ____ seeds.
(You would fill in the blanks with specific numbers. Make your guess *before* you open the fruit to count them!)
Remember ... don't worry if your guess ends up being wrong ... that's okay!

Hey there.
Some teachers might request this format.
If I test which fruit will have the most seeds then it will be_______________ because_______________.
Now remember that you can do research and this is your educated guess, it does not have to be correct. Just guess, that is what a sciencetist does. Hope this helps! Reply soon.
