Hi Angelthao,

Just observing water, ice, and steam is more of a K-5 project, but there are many ways to make this project more challenging and at an 8th grade level.

This project sounds very similar to what you are looking for, but it is at a middle school level: https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science- ... p033.shtml.

You could also do some of the variations listed on that page if you have time. One variation that isn't listed there is to do the same project but with boiling the water instead of freezing it (though this would involve extra safety measures).
