Project Question: I am doing a research project on a carbon footprint comparison of living on a boat versus in a house. I need to know how to convert natural gas used into pounds of CO2. Also, I need to know the formula to convert water usage to CO2 pounds. Also, I'd like to know if there is a way to calculate the effect of decreasing the Carbon Footprint on global warming.

I am doing an experiment on the effect of different lifestyles on carbon footprint. How do you convert gallons water usage into pounds of C02 produced? Also, how do you convert natural gas use into CO2 produced? Finally, I would like to know what the effect of everyone on the planet reducing their carbon footprint by 50% on global warming.

Hi,

This prior Science Buddies answer thread has links to 4 carbon footprint calculators that should answer your question:

Take a loook at them and post another request if they don”t answer your questions.
