Hi --
Where did you read that small speakers produce UV radiation? I had never heard of that before, and given the way speakers work, I didn't think it was possible. But I could be wrong, and I'd like to research it a bit more before trying to suggest a solution.

Hi,
I have moved this question to the Life Sciences forum since it deals with bacteria growth.

Speakers should not emit UV light as far as I know. If speakers affect bacterial growth, I would assume that it was due to differences in vibration.
Can you tell us a little bit more about what you're having trouble with?
