Post by taykay5 »

hi!
i need a good 8th grade science fair thats about makeup.
ive thought of several, but im having difficulty coming up with a hypothesis.
i would love to make my own lipgloss, but i have no idea what hypothesis to do with that or how to test it.
i also thought of doing natural vs. synthetic, but again i dont know how to test a hypothesis.
if anyone has any good ideas, please help me!
thanks so much !!!!!!

this is just a suggestion for the natural vs. synthetic:
u can test the hypothesis on different skin complextions and observe which make-up works better.[/size] :)

That sounds like a great idea!

Here are some websites you can check out to help you with your project:
http://thebeautybrains.com/2008/06/08/l ... f-science/
http://thebeautybrains.com/2007/12/04/h ... loss-work/

To set up an experiment with lip gloss, one thing you can do is to try to determine which ingredients work best. You can keep all variables controlled except for one, and measure how changing that variable can affect the lip gloss. You can test how long the lip gloss last, or what temperature melts the lip gloss. You can also test different types of lip gloss that have already been made to determine which is the most enduring.

If you need any further assistance, I'd be delighted to help!
