control on crickets and tempuriture.

I am duing science fair project on whether crickets can really chirp the tempuriture. it is too cold outside so im keeping them inside in groups of 15 25 and 35 i am also changing the temp. but i need to find a control for my project ignore my old question about hurricanes. :mrgreen: any advice is apreciated

Hi,

This is a great project! 'Control' in this case is a little problematic because you are looking for a linear response between chirping and temp. I would consider it to be 'room temperature', before you change the temp. There are also other variables you will want to keep constant--humidity, light levels, etc.

Why are you keeping them in differently sized groups? Do you think that will make a difference? If so, you might want to have single crickets as your control.
