How to measure CO2 and O2

Post by isabelrose »

I'm doing a project on planetary engineering, and I need to find a way to measure CO2 and O2 in a sealed jar. I can put the mechanism into the jar before I seal it, and I'll need to be able to check the levels of CO2 and O2 daily to monitor changes. I have found some CO2 analyzers, but the cheapest one is $3,000. My budget allows for this measurement system to cost about $20. Is this possible? Anybody know where I can find one?

Hi,

I am afraid that I don't know of any system that could help you. Perhaps you could consider getting a mentor at a nearby university who could help you? Science Buddies has a site that might help you: http://sciencebuddies.com/science-fair- ... tors.shtml

Thanks very much. I'll check into a nearby college lab.
