grade 9 physics investigatory project

i am in grade 9 and i have to make a physics investigatory project on any topic. Since i have no clue how to make one , i need your help . If possible can you show me a sample investigatory project and also can you suggest me some topics.

All three are good projects. You should choose the one that interests you most, qnd which you have the resources to do. Only you can make this choice.

i went through all the projects and I like the following project:

But the problem is that I have to write the hypothesis which i am not able to even after reading it in the project guide. If possible can you help me writing the hypothesis of this project.
Please reply fast since i have to submit my project on Monday i.e 14th December.

Hi,

Your hypothesis is just your guess at what the answer to your question will be. In your case it could be some thing like:

“ If I measure the speed of light by c=f*wavelength, then I will find it to be x m/sec or y miles perr hour, and the wavelength will be z cm.”

You can look up what other people have measured the speed of light to be and use that for your guess, then convert that into the wave length you expect to measure, You will have to study up on unit conversions to do this.

A hypothesis is your guess ow what the answer to your question will be. It should be your guess, not mine. It does not matter if it turns out to be incorrect - that happens all the time in science experiments. In fact in successful experiments the hypothesis is often wrong when you find out surprising and important results. Your brother’s hypthesis should probably be something about which method is best for cooling soda. Use the formula on the above link, and fill in the blanks. Remember to first figure out your question, The hypothessis than is your predicted answer to that question.

Thanks with the hypothesis , my brother was able to write it but he is in a fix . He has to submit his project tomorrow and he does not know what to write in the observation and it's too late to perform the activity so i just need your help in telling me what the observation is .He knows that it was his fault not doing it it if possible can you send me a sample observation of the following project:

Hi Eishita,
Unfortunately, the observations section really depends on what your brother observes himself. Although we would love to help you with any questions you have, it is not possible for us to physically DO the experiment for him...this would make it our experiment and not his. I would suggest that either he conduct as much as he can of the experiment or to try changing the topic last-minute (which would make it extremely hard). In any case, I wish him the best of luck!
