why dose diffirent paper plates( only the matrials are differant) decopose faster?




science fair question:which plate decompose fastest?(recycled,waxed&regular)

Because different materials are decomposed by different organisms or at different rates by the same organism. Also, particularly if you're looking at recycled vs. non-recycled paper plates, you may have a difference in the way those materials are put together--the recycled paper may be more 'loose' and easier for organisms in the soil to break apart/break down.
