I need some help on how to make germs become visible. I've researched and can't find anything. If you could help me that would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
BraeLynn

Hi,
Check out this science buddies project on culturing bacteria:
https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science- ... 4&from=TSW
Also check out the links in Microbiology section on the right lower part of the Science Buddies Porject Guide:
https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science- ... l?From=Tab
I think you will find what you want there. Have fun!
Best regards,

Re: Making Germs Become Visible
Hi,
One quick addition on top of what was already posted. I'm not quite sure what you mean by "make germs become visible." I think it depends on the context; for example, are you trying to transform bacteria so that they glow? Are you trying to create a fluorescent spray that adheres to bacterial cell walls (note: I am not sure this is possible, but I'm a little sleepy, and this was a random idea that came to me)? Are you trying to see bacteria under a microscope? Are you trying to make them really large so that they are visible?
There are ways to do all (potential exception: see the note above) of these things, so decide on exactly what you intend to do to the bacteria. The links Barrett included should cover all (again, see the note), of the above questions, but feel free to reply again for more specific help.
Hope this helps!
