okay so i measured light intensity using a wax joly photometer then i used the inverse square law to transfer it into light effieciency and i used a 60 w regular white bulb and compered it to alot of diferent watage flouresent and luminesent bulbs now i need a problem statement and hypotheseis it is due in 2 days and i need help if any one can help me i would really appreciate it so i found this expierement on science buddies if that helps any

Hi!
So it seems like the problem of this experiment is essentially the objective, as stated on the sciencebuddies page: "to measure the relative intensity of different light bulbs, using a simple photometer that you can build yourself." To create your own hypothesis, refer to the following guide:

Hi,

Great experiment! Adding to the posts by other experts, I wanted to say that your hypothesis ultimately depends on what you want to test. The photometer experiment given by ScienceBuddies is a great idea to start out with, but you still have to decide what it is you want to test. To give you some ideas, think about it this way: do you want to test if the photometer works or do you want to test if one type of lightbulb is brighter than another? In the first case, you take two lightbulbs, one brighter than another and hypothesize that the photometer will be able to suggest that one lightbulb is indeed brighter than another. In the latter case, you assume the photometer works (or first prove that it works using two lightbulbs of the same intensity) and then test two lightbulbs to see which is brighter.
