Ferrofluids

My project parter are working on creating a ferrofluid for our science fair project. We had originally intended to create different types and compare their rigidity, but we have not been able to make a ferrofluid yet and our project is becoming more of an engineering design project rather than an experimental design project. I was wondering if you think we should switch over to an engineering design project rather than experimental design.

I think that if creating a ferrofluid is something that you and your partner really want to do, then you should keep trying...unless you really feel that you will not be able to complete the project. Here are some links to help you:
