scientific principles for cooling soda

Post by connorsmom »

What are the scientific principles behind cooling soda. The project required soda to be cooled in ice, ice with water, ice with water and salt, the refrigerator and the freezer. How do you explain how the soda cooled in each experiment? Why did it cool fastest in water, ice and salt?

If you have not seen this same project described on Science Buddies, I suggest you go to this web address:
https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science- ... p057.shtml

It briefly explains the scientific principles that will answer your questions, and gives several excellent references on the web that will give you much more information.

If you study these references, and still have specific questions, post another question and we'll get you the additional information you need.
