soundproofing

Post by karlosaur »

For my project, I'm testing how different factors and materials work for effective soundproofing. I'd like some ideas on how to go about testing these factors and where specifically to get more information about this. Thanks for your help.

Have you done any research on how sound propigates? If not, you need to start there.
There are lots of different approaches to soundproofing and what determines the "best" has a lot to do with the specific problem you are trying to solve and how you define "best". In the real world, "best" often includes some cost function.
If you can give us more details on what you are thinking about in terms of the sound source, the coupling method, and what you hope to achieve, we can address the issues specifically.
