Power of Purple

Post by Mika31 »

I have waited to late to order the Iodine Tincture 7% for my daughter's Power of Purple to Evaulate Fats in Cooking Oils. Is there something else that I could use that I can purchase at the local store?

Hi,

I do not know of a sustitute reagent that would work for your project. One idea would be to try to locate a “compounding pharmacy” in your local area. A compounding pharmacy mixes up prescriptions from raw materials, rather than just counting out pills from bottles. Use a Google search to locate them near you. I would expect such a pharmacy to be able to supply you in 24 hours or less, though it may not be inexpensive.

Amazon seems to have this in stock. They usually ship within 24 hours, and usually you can pay for fast delivery.

If you need this item today, I am afraid you are out of luck unless you can find it stocked locally where you can go there and pick it up. Many pharmacies can special order things like this and get next day delivery. It pays to ask.

Good lluck!
