Water Testing Locations

Post by NishaPuri »

Hi!

For my science project I need to test different element contents in water, such as iron, after certain periods of time. I was wondering if there are any places that this could be done for without a high cost because obtaining this type of machinery through a company is extremely expensive. Does anyone have suggestions as to where I could do this testing? I live in Los Angeles, so if there is any place in the great LA area, please let me know!

Hi, You may wish to take a look at the website for Hach Chemicals (hach.com). They sell some inexpensive products for water testing, some of which do not involve expensive equipment. If you simplify your experiment and focus on one or two metals, this might be a viable approach for you.
