HEEEELP!!

Post by 15christinab »

Hi, I am Christina and i am working on a science project with two of my other friends! My science experiment is in what places have the largest amount of allergenic molds? We are getting potatoes and slicing them in half. then we are cutting the same amount of slits in each of the potatoes. Then we are putting different thing on the potatoes such as a piece of hair, swab from our nose, etc. Then we are seeing which type of molds grow and how harmful they are to us. We are going to do this in a doctorial lab but is there specific questions we should ask the sciecntist? And What kind of molds are there and how harmful are they for us and we need more information on allergenic molds. Can you help us?? THAANKS SO MUCH(:

Hi Christina,
I think that questions will arise during your research and while conducting the experiment so you shouldn't worry,a science project is a learning experience.
There are lots of websites on mold, describing the various types of molds, how harmful they are and which ones are allergenic. There is a scope of them, andI included some below:
http://www.lamold.com/allergenic_molds.html
http://advancedmoldinspections.com/types_of_mold.html
http://www.inspectapedia.com/sickhouse/moldclasses.htm
http://www.moldbacteria.com/learnmore/moldlist.html

If you have any more questions or come across something during your investigation that needs to be clarified post away! :D
