variable question

Post by ginnyf60 »

Which Metal Is the Most Resistant to Corrosion?- My student is doing a variation of this experiment from sciencebuddies. In this experiment both the type of metal and the solutions that the metal is put in are changed. So is the independent variable the type of metal or the type of solution the metals are put in?

I wold sggest you run it as independent experiments. Constant metal and variable solutions, then change to the next metal and run it again as constant metal#2 and variable solutions, repeat for each metal. If you plot this you may get a 3-D curve whose shape depends on yor choice of metals and solutions.

Zinc (something galvanized)
Iron (Make sure it is not plated)
