Botany/Enviromental HELP!
For my project, I'm testing to see how red algae's cell structure can be affected by different levels of acidity. My three levels are a ph level of 2, a ph level of 4.5(acidic lake water) and 7,(neutral, clean water). I'm trying to figure out how to buy/ make the acid water. Any ideas?

Re: Botany/Enviromental HELP!
Hi,
Making acid water is easy! All you need to do is add some acidic chemical to water. Vinegar is the most commonly available substance to make water acidic. I would advise being careful with vinegar but it is the safest thing you can easily find. To make the different pH levels, just add more or less vinegar to the water to make it more or less acidic. I would suggest by starting with one cup of water and one teaspoon of vinegar and proceed from there.
I hope this helps and good luck!
Cheers,
Jon
