Re: maths
Hi,
I did not find a topic called spirons, but wonder if you meant spidrons. If so here is a Science Buddies project on this interesting subject:

Post back if I did not understand the question you asked. Have fun with this fascinating topic!
Best regards,

Hi,
If you are into math this paper on 3D spironized space fillers may be just your thing:

Here is another description of 3D spidrons:

Re: maths
Hi,
Here is a bit more information on 3D spidrons:
http://matserv.pmmf.hu/hajtas/docs/2/Spidron_EN.pdf
http://edan.szinhaz.org//SpidroNew/index.html
You can search Utube site for 3D spidrons and find some demonstrations of 3d deformations.
There are a lot of related origami sites that use mixtures of various polygons(not just triangles) to make space filling solid replicated structures. This is an extremely interesting subject area. I hope hou have lots of fun exploring it!

Re: maths
hi
I read your forum and it seems like we're both doing spidron based sci fair projects. If you've figured out how to make a spidrohedron then do you think you could help me? I'm kinda desperate at the moment because mine aren't working out.
