Background Research

My labels did not come with a research label. Can anyone think of another noun for research.

Hi,

I think you must be following an outline to write up your science fair project. The research section could either be background research, which usually follows your question and explains the reason for doing your project, or it could be the results section, where you are reporting your data. Another word you could use instead of research would be analysis, investigation, or perhaps experiment, depending on the context.

The Science Buddies website has detailed information about what you should include in each section of your write-up. Please let me know more about your project if you need more information, or if I have misunderstood your inquiry.
