Hello and welcome to the forum!

I'm not a sailor, but I did have fun researching this one. From what I see online, I would suggest asking this question in an online sailing forum based in the UK. It seems that bilge keels are very popular there. Also, look at some of the web sites dedicated to keel design and naval architecture.
