cloud formation
I need a formal hypothesis for my cloud in a bottle experiment. I need to use the "If,then and because" format

Re: cloud formation
Well, what are you testing? What are your independent/dependent variables?

Re: cloud formation
I wasn't sure what the cloud in the bottle experiment was so I looked it up online and here is what I found: http://www.stevespanglerscience.com/experiment/00000030
So, if this was your experiment, then your hypothesis should include your independent and dependent variables as the other expert mentioned. For this experiment, you can consider the number of pumps as your independent variable and the visibility of the cloud that forms as your dependent variable. So, your hypothesis should sound something like this "If the number of pumps is increased, which creates more pressure in the bottle, then the more visible the cloud formation will be because...." and you can fill in the rest...
Hope the helps!
