Hi Ryan,
Hope you are having a good winter vacation.
\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\you have doen a good job with putting together your abstract.i just have a couple of suggestions:
\first with the title. i would suggest you say up front that you are using a bioinformatics approach. \maybe bioinformatic comparison of zebrafish regenration and human heart failure genes to identify putative motifs. be careful about using the term analyze as although we are analyzing the genes we are not doing further analysis of the motifs really.
another thing to be careful is describing genomics as "causing" heart failure. gene variation can promote or be associated with heart failure but cause is a very strong term to use and i would try and avoid it.
best of luck with the applications. i should be more able to give feedback in the next few weeks. sorry for all the typos etc i'm on a borrowed laptop.

Re: Question about bio informatics
Hello
Thank you for your advice so much!
Other than your suggestions, does my abstract look fine?
I just want to double check to make sure.
P.S. I am applying to Harvard University and it requires my mentor's name, e-mail, and institute to submit my supplementary material, in this case my abstract.
So I was wondering if you are ok to provide info so I can write it in my application.
I understand if you do now want to because I have never met you in real life.
And I believe this is public forum so it may good idea to tell me through a private message if you would like to provide.
I think you can send it to my e-mail (E-mail deleted by moderator)
Have a great New Year's Eve!

Re: Question about bio informatics
\i'm happy to be listed as a mentor but I'll get Amy from Science buddies to sort this out. There are rules about what can be posted on these boards and contact between students and experts.
best of luck,

Ryan,
I checked with Amy but they can't get back to us right away. Since you need it so quick, please go to the team page for the database that I work for and you can see the public information.
