Physics "Question"

Post by Michael »

Hello!

I am assigned to compose an essay regarding an "unanswered question", meaning something contraversial or that's simply unknown. I'm very interested in water and it's complex structure, however, am unable to really find something that's extremely contraversial that I can compose a 1-page essay on. I was looking into Surface Tension of Water, however, again, am having that same issue.

Then, I decided to maybe go a little more general and I was going to maybe write something about Newtonian Mechanics vs. Quantum Mechanics, where I know quite a bit about Newtonian, though, of course, I have not learned much about Quantum. I have read a few things that say they can contradict each other, on a theoretical level - however, again, I need to compose a well-written essay on the topic.

If anybody has any suggestions or ideas, I'd greatly appreciate it!

I did a little more researching on water and found a few comments of the "absurdity" of the changing in structure when water transitions from solid (ice) to liquid forms. Some observations were that many of the hydrogen bonds were broken and that there were significantly less.

For some reason, I cannot find the link anymore to support this. However, I'm wondering if anybody else may have a few suggestions, etc?
