Thanks, I redid the test, and it turned out I read the instructions wrong, how embarrasing :oops:

I see no Expert has answered your question for some time.

Unfortunately, I am not one of those Experts who knows anything about this specific experiment, but perhaps I can help a bit.

You said, "I did not get results agreeing within 0.1 millilmeter". And you also said, "They were both around 25ml each". Your second statement says that both measurements were nearly the same. Right? If they were nearly the same then they agreed within 0.1 millimeter. So, unless I misunderstand what you said, I think you got the result you needed from the experiment.

The darkness of color of your end solution can be affected by many things. One of the most important is light. Notice in the experiment you must keep the Lugol solution protected from light. This is common with many compounds of iodine. It's sensitivity to light, that is it's ability to change color, can be affected by light exposure.
