I'm planning on entering the Google Science Fair, and I have two ideas. It's mmy first science fair ever, so I'd like some advice.
1. A magnetic moving system for people who cannot use their arms much. This is an electromagnet underneath a table, desk etc. and can be operated via a control pad. It moves to somehting on the table etc, and moves it to the person so they can get it.
The problem with this is (assuming it will work) that it is hard to find a suitable experiment, and something to compare it against.
2. A hand-powered charger. Like a wind-up torch, I plan to make a wind-up charger, which can be plugged into the device's charger (so it has the mains piece on the end.) This will work in the same way a wind-up radio or torch does, except that it charges something. It's a lot easier to get a suitable experiment, but the only problem is that it might be too 'trivial' and not help the world enough.
Thanks for any comments, advice etc.

Re: Project Question
I'm going to leave it to you to select the project that interests you the most.
What I can do is give you some more ideas along the lines you are thinking. Here are some neat projects on the Science Buddies web site you should look at:
