Re: Electronic Pollution
aj87 - The topic of Electronic Pollution was posted in Science Buddies as an Abstract for a possible experiment idea. Science Buddies has not detailed any specifics to a particular project. It is a very important subject and a lot of information is available about Electro-Magnetic Fields (EMF) and their many sources and effects they have on human beings and other living tissues as well as other sensitive electronic equipment.
Just because it is labeled 'pollution' doesn't mean that it is all bad. In fact, much of the problem is that these EMF fields are often doing real work for us in the form of radio and other wireless signals, transmission of needed electrical power, cooking our food in microwave ovens and on induction ranges. There are many other areas where the unwanted radiation is an unfortunate result of a beneficial process. Because it is a very broad subject, you might want to do some investigating on the web and narrow down a particular kind of EMF to study. Good luck in exploring.
