Plant Science Help

Post by deleted-51562 »

I am new to this website, so please excuse me if I do something noobish. I really want to go to isef next year (it would be my junior year). I do not have a mentor, and I don't know how to even go about getting one. The closest college to me is The University of Oklahoma (if that makes any difference). I am really good with botany, however I have minimal knowledge due to limited resources. So what should I do? How do I come up with ideas? Anything will help! THANK YOU!

Wesley, Welcome! Don't be afraid to ask questions, we are here to help you find the answers. So you had several issues/questions:

1) I do not have a mentor.
Talk to your teacher and have him/her help you find one. Once you find a project that interests you can also can also posts questions to ths site and our helpers can act as virtual mentors.

2)I have minimal knowledge due to limited resources.
Well we all have to start somewhere. Go to your school or local library and research botany. Go online.

3) How do I come up with ideas?

The Science buddies website has a whole bunch of Project Ideas on on Botany (Plant Biology). Check it out!
