Hi Everyone,

I would like to know the temperature that most plastics depolymerize by,
and i need help building a thermal depolymerization machine.

I don't know anything specific about this topic, just what is written in Wikipedia about it (which states that the process is normally run to 250 C, and 600 psi). I am concerned, though, that this sounds like a rather dangerous process for a science fair project at your level. I would suggest that you find a local adult sponsor who can supervise your experiment, or at least check it for safety concerns.

It does sound like a very interesting process, though, and I could imagine many interesting projects around it. Did you have a particular question in mind that you wanted to answer with your experiment?
