The Effect of Spices on Yeast
My project is the effect of spices on yeast. I want to grow yeast with malt agar, which I have already purchased, but I'm not sure how to. My project has two methods, and with the first method I used dried baker's yeast. My second method is growing yeast with malt agar in Petri dishes, sprinkling dry roasted ground spices on top and seeing how much yeast grows. Is there any way to grow it with dried baker's yeast? If not, what do I use and how much of everything do I need? Thank you!!!

Re: The Effect of Spices on Yeast
Hi!
So you might find one of the ScienceBuddies project ideas helpful, as it also deals with growing yeast-

In addition, check out this GREAT resource on how to use agar! Using malt agar should be pretty much the same procedure as using other types of agar, just be sure to maintain all the necessary safety precautions!

Hope this helps, best of luck!
