The Effect of Distractions on Brain Concentration

Post by needhelpplz »

Hi, I am a student going to school at Busan Foreign School.
I am really worried about my science fair and I found out that this website can give a lot of help.
I wish an expert can help me with my worries about the Science Fair

The presentation of our school science fair is April 14th, 2011. I am doing a science fair project on my own. I am in 9th grade and I have a topic in mind.
My topic is: The Effect of Different Types of Distractions on Brain Concentration

I am trying to do this topic because I can relate this to real life. The distractions are: 1) Loud Music 2) Cellphones 3) Talking

I am trying to test the difference in a person's brain concentration when there are distractions. HOWEVER, I don't know how to test brain concentration. I really need your help.

I believe that brain concentration can relate to driving. People tend to listen to loud music, use cellphones, and talk while they are driving. I am trying to test brain concentration but I couldn't find a way. EXPERTS, plz help me.

Thanks,
Celine Kim

Hi Celine,

Take a look at this Science Buddies Poject Idea for ideas on how to measure how well humans multitask:

https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science- ... p022.shtml

This is a great topic that is relevant to almost everyone. Good luck with it and the science fair!!!

Hi
there is a game that i dont know the name: there is a ring and you should pass it through some wire and if you hit the wire bell would ring.i think it is a very good method to measure the concentration.
