Working on Identification by Text Analysis... Need help.
I am currently working on Identification by Text Analysis, and I don't get it. The instructions are not clear enough. Can someone please help me? I know how to work HTML / JavaScript yet, I don't get this. I have tried doing the other projects (1, 2, and have read THIS) Any help will be appreciated. Thank you.

Hi,
I suspect you don’t “get it” because you do not understand the basis for what you are trying to do. The first thing to try is to read up on the background of textual analysis to identify authorship. Look at all the links in the bibliography section of the writeup and reread the whole project writeup. Here are some other weblinks that might help:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Forensic_linguistics
http://docs.google.com/viewer?a=v&q=cac ... 3sxLRn0mPQ
http://www.cs.utexas.edu/users/mckinley ... d-2003.pdf
http://metaoptimize.com/qa/questions/35 ... tification
http://dblab.mgt.ncu.edu.tw/%E6%95%99%E ... 0DM/43.pdf
http://docs.google.com/viewer?a=v&q=cac ... FQPgdFrrLw
This is a great topic of current practical interest, bit it can get somewhat arcane. It has been the subject of PhD theses and advanced academic research, so don’t worry too much if you can’t make sense of it. Do another topic and try this one again next year.
Good luck and have fun!
Best regards,
Barrett L Tomlinson
