What to test?

Post by orangefund34 »

Hello there! I've used science buddies for years, but I'm new to these forums, so, uh... here I go.

I recently discovered this amazing project and I really want to use it for the science fair. The only problem is, I don't have a problem. But seriously, I have no idea what to test with this hand. No idea what sort of experiment to carry out. I have to present a question to my science teacher this Thursday, so I have a little bit of time.

I'm pretty much interested in any field of science, sooo does anyone have any suggestions or ideas on a way to incorporate said hand into my sci fair project? many thanks. :D

Hello orangefund34,

I am happy to hear that you are interested in conducting an experiment, and that you are currently pondering on what type of problem you would like to hypothesize on.

That is indeed the very first step of starting a scientific experiment!

It seems that you are interested in building a similar prototype of this articulated hand? Wow! - it seems very interesting!

Well, my first step would be to think about the implications that this prototype might have in the real world, such as in the medical or scientific field.

It may show a microcosm of a part of robotic technology or it might be used in a string/ligament design. In addition, I suggest that you look through information on joint related diseases, such as osteoporosis or arthritis. It may be helpful to see how this prototype might have beneficial purposes in ameliorating bone pain.

Hope this helps. Good luck!

Hello orangefund34,

Wow, this looks like a really cool project!

Similar to the reply from grace7177, think of what the art hand can be used for. From there, you can then come up with ideas to make the design better for the new purpose you came up with.

Good luck.
