Thermoacoustics project ideas?
I am interested in thermoacoustics, specifically using heat to make sound that creates energy. I am just unsure as how to create a science fair project out of this. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

This is a great topic for a science fair project. I have been judging science fair projects at the state level for nearly 15 years and have never seen one done on thermoacoustics. Not being very familiar with this area of engineering myself, I did some research in order to give you some guidance.
The first thing I found was some advice given to a student on ScienceBuddies back in 2006. I suggest you read through this string of dialogue at https://www.sciencebuddies.org/mentorin ... f=2&t=1798
Then I did a broader search on the internet and found a description of an experiment you might want to consider. Look at this site: http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q= ... 8g&cad=rja

I also found some interesting projects described in the Journal of Physics Education. You can access .pdf files of the articles here:
