Hi,
I'm not a moderator or anything just another student, but I know that a problem statement is a short and clear description of the issues that a problem-solving team needs to address.
Good luck!

Hi Gabriela,

I'm not quite sure what you mean by a "problem statement." Does your teacher want you to state the problem that you intend to address in your experiment? Is this part of a classroom lab or a science fair project? If you give us more details, perhaps we can help you with your problem statment.

Hi,

If your teacher has asked for a problem statement related to your science fair project, this may refer to the project question that will be answered by your experiment.

If you have a question about the assignment, however, you definitely should check with your teacher. Many teachers hand out written instructions and it’s important to follow the exact directions. The Science Buddies website has lots of resources that can help you with your project.

It looks like you have picked a challenging topic. Do let us know if you have any other questions.
