Hi Manal,
Welcome to Science Buddies! Bread mold is a fungus named Rhizopus nigricans. Both plants and fungi are eukaryotic organisms.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rhizopus_nigricans.
Mold spores are ubiquitous, which means that they are always floating around in the air and if they land on a suitable substrate, like a piece of bread, they will germinate and grow. Normally, the species of Rhizopus that grows on bread and other foods does not grow on living plants. However, there are many species of fungi that grown on plants and are considered pathogenic.
A project on bread mold would make a very good science project; however, I think that you need to do more background reading to learn more about your subject. You can search for “Rhizopus”, “bread mold”, and “fungal diseases of plants”, and perhaps “phytopathogenic Rhizopus.” to get some ideas. You want to design a carefully controlled experiment that will answer a specific question.
Were you thinking about doing a specific project? If so, please describe your experimental idea in more detail.
