Hi,
Here is the project guide for the Daphnia toxicity test from the Science Buddies Website.
https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science- ... p043.shtml
To get started on this project, I recommend that you order the Daphnia magna right away. You will receive adults that will start having babies within a few days. You want to set up the toxicity test with very young Daphnia. While you are waiting for the Daphnia, read about care and feeding of Daphnia so you will be ready to take care of them when they arrive.
What problem are you going to investigate with this project?
I will ask the moderator to move your question to a new topic, in case you have any more questions.

Hi Nina16,
Here is a link to a similar project, based on graduate student research, that looks at the effects of cooking spices (cinnamon, caffeine, etc.) on Daphnia:
http://sciencebridge.ucsd.edu/programs/ ... tal-spices
The Teacher Guide for the Daphnia Toxicity activity should contain some references that may help you.
Let us know if you have more questions.
