As Jay mentioned, the Science Buddies Project Ideas section has several projects pertaining to this area. You can easily find them my performing a key word search on the words you already identified in your post as areas of interest. To get you started, I performed a search on "Agriculture" and found an idea that may work to satisfy several of your areas of interest, found at the following link:

This one experiments with food packaging and it's effects on freshness. Just as a starting idea: I belive you would be able to effectivly make statements about the trade off between environmental impacts of packaging materials vs how well it keeps food healthy and safe to eat (or not)...for example plastic containers will decompose in a landfill significantly slower than a paper bag, but at the expense of faster food spoilage.
