Project Question: in the project, from trash to gas: biomass energy, it says i need a cup or so of mashed banana's. i was wondering if i could use something else for the banana's .

hi my name is keiley. i am doing a science project and it is due pretty soon. i was wondering for the project called "From Trash to Gas: Biomass Energy" it says that i needed one or so cups of smashed banana's. i was wondering if i could switch out the banana's for somethign else. or do i haved to use the smashed banana's in my project in order for it to work.

Hi Keiley!
You do not need to use bananas for your project to work. You can substitute the bananas for any other fruit or vegetable of your choosing. However, make sure that you don't use the same vegetables for both of the bottles. It says on your profile that your project is due tomorrow. I hope that's not true! It takes several days to see results in this experiment.
Also, next time that you post a question, start a new thread for it to make sure that an expert will be able to see your question quickly.
