Snell's law (also known as the Snell–Descartes law and the law of refraction) is a formula used to describe the relationship between the angles of incidence and refraction, when referring to light or other waves passing through a boundary between two different isotropic media, such as water and glass. You might try to measure the the angles of incidence and refraction of light using various liquids other than water and then see if the Snell's Law formula matches your empiricle results. You can find the formulas at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Snell%27s_law. Hope that helps.

Hi cloeclifton,

Have you read through all of the information in the links that Experts posted above? Do you have a particular question concerning the physics concepts behind Snell's law, or would you like help with a certain step in the procedure? Your initial question could be read both ways, so if you still have questions at this point, be specific so we can help you sooner!
