Desalinating Sea Water

My partners and I are interested in learning on how to desalinate and purify sea water. Are there any simple ways to desalinate sea water?

Removing salt from seawater is not really simple, but it would make a really great science fair project topic. Here are two project ideas from the Science Buddies website; one is very simple, and the second a little more challenging:
