Projects/Ideas Involving Bioinformatcs

Post by Dean_Nguyen »

Hello, my name is Dean Nguyen.
I am a "Science Research" student in New York studying bioinformatcs.

I'm starting my study involving bioinformatcs, and I would be greatly appreciated if you have any projects/ideas that can help me start my study on Bioinformatcs. If there's any ideas involving DNA sequences, dense clusters of motifs, etc., please share with me some great/interesting ideas. Thank You.

Hello Dean,
Good to see you here! Have you looked for some different ideas on this site using the Project Guide?
What are you most interested in finding out? The world of molecular biology is enormous! You are interested in Bioinformatics, that is, the use of technology, such as DNA sequencing (i.e. the Human Genome Project), to organize biological information. What part interests you? How did you come about wanting to study this? These questions will help you determine an interest, and a project.

Here are some links to help you get started. I would search by topic, using the link below or just typing in keywords into the box in the upper right corner (make sure to check the box "project ideas.")
