Welcome to Science Buddies! You have an good question about this excellent project idea:

For this project, your independent variable is the individual test subject (that is the only thing that you will change in your experimental protocol) and the dependent variable is outcome of each test, either left or right (all of the results of the various tests).
Please note that all of the other conditions in your experiment should be controlled and not changed at all. What conditions will you control in your experiment?
